Where your reading is kept

• As a guest, your books, place, notes and appearance choices stay in this browser. Clearing site data removes them.
• Signed in, they are saved to your account and synced. Signing out removes your account's data and private downloads from the device.
• Uploaded EPUBs are private to you. The people who run ManyNote can open them to fix imports and answer support requests.

AI features

The Book Guide, characters, recaps and Help send your question, recent conversation and the passages they need to a third-party AI provider. Preparing a Guide for a book you uploaded sends its text.

Usage analytics

ManyNote uses an analytics service to understand how people browse, read and use the Book Guide and to diagnose confusing moments. Analytics can include book identifiers, approximate reading progress, active reading time and masked session replays. Notes, book text, typed messages and Book Guide answers are excluded.

Analytics uses a random browser identifier. Signing in links that browser's activity to your account; signing out resets it.

Error reports

When something breaks in the website or app, ManyNote sends an error report to its error-monitoring service so the team can fix it: the error, the page (without anything after ? in its address), your browser or device type, page load speed and the version you were running. Reports use a random session identifier, not your account, and never include book text, notes or anything you type.

Help

ManyNote Help questions and answers are kept for a limited time to improve this manual: 90 days for accounts and 30 days for guests. A help conversation you attach to a message to the team is kept with that message. Messages to the team are kept while they are open and for 2 years after they are resolved.

Deleting your account

Delete account, at the bottom of Account and billing on the web or of Settings in the app, permanently deletes your account and signs you out. It deletes the EPUBs you uploaded (unless another reader uploaded the same file) and your reading places, notes, highlights, Book Guide conversations and My Books. Cancel a paid plan first, and wait for any upload that is still being prepared.

When an account is deleted, its help conversations and messages to the team are deleted 30 days later.
