Terms of Use

These terms apply when you use the Manynote website and app. By creating an account or using Manynote, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use Manynote.

Early access

Manynote is an early-access service under active development. Features, limits and availability may change or stop, and things will sometimes break. Please keep your own copies of any books you upload.

Your account

Keep your sign-in secure; you are responsible for activity on your account. You must be at least 13 years old, and old enough to agree to these terms where you live.

Books you upload

Upload only EPUBs you have the right to use, such as books you own without copy protection or that are in the public domain. Uploads are for your personal reading. You keep any rights you have in what you upload, and you give us permission to store, convert and process it, including with AI providers, so that Manynote can show it to you and prepare its Book Guide.

If you believe something on Manynote infringes your copyright, use Message the team on the Help page while signed in with the work, where it appears and how to reach you. We remove material when we receive a valid notice, and may close accounts that repeatedly infringe.

Acceptable use

Do not:

• break the law, or infringe anyone's rights;
• share your account, or use Manynote to distribute books to others;
• scrape, bulk-extract or resell books, Guides or other content;
• interfere with, overload or probe the service, or get around its limits or access controls;
• use AI features to produce unlawful or harmful content.

We may limit, suspend or close accounts that break these rules.

AI-generated content

The Book Guide, characters, recaps and Help are generated by AI. They can be incomplete or wrong, including about the book itself. Use them as a reading companion, not as a source of fact or advice.

Books in the ManyNote Library

Books in the ManyNote Library come from public-domain sources such as Standard Ebooks. You may read them freely; the AI features and the Manynote service around them remain subject to these terms.

Plans and limits

Paid plans are described on Account and billing, and are billed through Stripe until you cancel. Usage limits apply to uploads, Book Guide preparation and AI answers, and may change.

Ending your use

You can stop using Manynote at any time, and delete your account with Delete account (see the Privacy Policy). We may suspend or end the service, or your access, with notice where reasonable.

Disclaimers

Manynote is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost data, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the past twelve months. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be waived.

Changes

We may update these terms. We will revise the date below, and tell signed-in readers about significant changes. Continuing to use Manynote after a change means you accept the updated terms.
